Meet Traci
— If You're “That Mom”… I See You.
Guess what? That’s me too.
Calling the meticulous moms.
The anxious moms.
The “my child had a bad experience before” moms.
If you’re the parent who:
• Overthinks safety
• Watches everything carefully
• Needs to feel completely confident before trusting someone
• Or has a child who didn’t thrive in a traditional swim program
You’re exactly who I built Swimmingly for.
I understand the worry.
I understand the hesitation.
And I understand how personal this decision feels.
My Background
Hi, I’m Traci — founder of Swimmingly and a swim instructor for nearly 25 years.
I was originally trained through the American Red Cross, and what began as a teenage summer job quickly became a lifelong passion. Nearly 25 years later, I still believe what I believed at 16:
Learning to swim builds confidence that reaches far beyond the water.
As a mom of five, water safety isn’t theoretical for me — it’s personal. I understand the trust families place in an instructor, and I teach every swimmer as if they were my own.
Who I Work With
Over the years, I’ve worked with all ages, including:
• Fearful beginners
• Sensory-sensitive swimmers
• Students with special needs
• Competitive swimmers refining technique
• Adults learning for the first time
Ready to Get Started?
My Teaching Philosophy
Are you ready to make a splash
—with purpose?
Whether you’re a parent looking for developmentally appropriate swim lessons, an adult building confidence in the water, or a swimmer with unique learning needs, Swimmingly offers thoughtful, individualized instruction focused on safety, confidence, and long-term success.
Every lesson is guided by experience, patience, and a deep understanding of how swimmers learn best—at every age and stage.
My Teaching Philosophy
What sets my instruction apart is not just experience — it’s how I teach.
Swimming is more than a life skill. It builds confidence, safety, and independence. I believe confidence comes first, and skill follows.
Every swimmer learns differently.
Some need gentle exposure.
Some need structure.
Some need creativity.
Some need patience and support that traditional programs don’t always provide.
My lessons are individualized, developmentally aware, and intentionally structured — but never rigid. I adapt in real time based on the swimmer in front of me, creating a calm, supportive environment where progress feels achievable and success is celebrated.
Swimmingly is not a one-size-fits-all program. It is a confidence-building process designed around each swimmer’s pace, needs, and potential.
When swimmers leave my program, I don’t just want them swimming.
I want them capable.
Independent.
Proud.
And I want families to feel peace of mind.
💦 Safety First
Safety is always my top priority. I’m trained in water safety, CPR, and first aid, and I maintain focused supervision during every lesson. I create a structured, secure environment where swimmers can build skills with confidence.
💙Building Confidence
Confidence grows step by step. My goal isn’t just to teach swim skills — it’s to help swimmers believe in themselves. Through patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement, I guide students past fear and toward real, lasting confidence in the water.
💛 Special Needs Support
Supporting swimmers with special needs is especially close to my heart. As a mom of five — including two children with special needs — I understand the unique challenges and milestones that come with learning new skills. I provide a calm, patient space where every swimmer feels safe, understood, and empowered.
🌊 Individualized Instruction & Inclusivity
No two swimmers learn the same way. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and comfort level in the water. Every lesson is tailored to meet them where they are, creating an inclusive environment where all swimmers feel welcome and capable.
☀️ Fun
Learning to swim should feel exciting, not intimidating. I incorporate play, creativity, and positive energy into each lesson so swimmers build strong skills while genuinely enjoying the process.
