Ready to Get Started?

Meet Traci

— And If You're “That Mom”… I See You.

Calling the meticulous moms.
The anxious moms.
The “my child had a bad experience before” moms.

Guess what?

That’s me too.

If you’re the parent who:
• Overthinks safety
• Watches everything carefully
• Needs to feel completely confident before trusting someone
• Or has a child who didn’t thrive in a traditional swim program

You’re exactly who I built Swimmingly for.

I understand the worry.
I understand the hesitation.
And I understand how personal this decision feels.

Hi, I’m Traci — founder of Swimmingly and a swim instructor for almost 25 years.

I was originally trained through the American Red Cross, and what began as a teenage summer job quickly became a lifelong passion. Nearly 25 years later, I still believe the same thing I believed at 16: learning to swim changes a child’s confidence — not just in the water, but everywhere.

As a mom of five, water safety isn’t theoretical for me. It’s personal. I understand the trust families place in an instructor, and I teach every swimmer as if they were my own.

Over the years, I’ve worked with:

• Fearful beginners
• Sensory-sensitive swimmers
• Students with special needs
• Competitive swimmers refining stroke technique
• Adults learning for the first time

What sets my instruction apart is not just experience — it’s how I teach.

I believe confidence comes first.
Skill follows.

Some children need gentle exposure.
Some need structure.
Some need creativity.
Some need patience that traditional programs don’t always provide.

My lessons are individualized, developmentally aware, and intentionally structured — but never rigid. I adapt in real time based on the swimmer in front of me.

Swimmingly is not a one-size-fits-all program.
It is a confidence-building process designed around your child’s pace and potential.

When swimmers leave my program, I don’t just want them swimming.
I want them capable. Independent. Proud.

And I want families to feel peace of mind.

My Teaching Philosophy

Water safety is not a race. It’s a foundation.

Some swimmers progress quickly.
Others take time.
Both are normal.

My goal is not to rush swimmers through skills — it’s to build strong fundamentals that last. When confidence is established properly, progress accelerates naturally.

Consistency, compassion, and clear structure create results. You can read more about on my Teaching Philosophy page

The Long-Term Vision For Swimmingly

Swimmingly began as private swim instruction — but the heart behind it has always been bigger.

My long-term goal is to develop Swimmingly into a comprehensive aquatic-centered wellness space. A facility where specialized swim programs, adaptive instruction, and therapeutic services can exist together in one supportive environment.

The vision includes licensed providers in areas such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech services, and aquatic-based development — all working alongside swim instruction to support whole-child growth.

I don’t aspire to do everything myself. Instead, I hope to build and oversee a team of highly trained professionals who share the same philosophy: patient, individualized, confidence-building care.

Water has an extraordinary ability to regulate, strengthen, and empower. My dream is to create a space where families can access those benefits in multiple forms — thoughtfully, ethically, and professionally.

For now, that vision starts with one swimmer at a time.

If you’re looking for flashy promises and overnight guarantees, I may not be your instructor.
If you’re looking for intentional, patient, confidence-based progress — welcome.
